I remember aong time ago when I was 3 or 4 playing Frogger on my Atari. As time went on my Atari finnaly tore up never to work again. Nintindo came along then Sega and by the time I got a Sega I had lost most of my Atari Games. When I got my Playstation I seen Frogger in a video store and decided to rent it. The game was and still is corny but yet the fun kind of corny. The Atari Version was nothing like this one is. Great gameplay different levels. However if you like wild action hardcore games then this is not for you but if you want to relax and have fun playing then get this game. The sound is repeating but it is not annoying. On a side note the other day I was prowling through a box and what did I come across the Atari Frogger.

I purchased this game for my boys. It is so difficult that I have never completed level 4 anywhere(with 3 lifes each level). The graphics is just ok compared with some of the newer games. My boy(7) felt it was little too difficult too, he never completed level 5. My 3 1/2 year old boy passed the level one only a couple times out of hundreds of trial.

When I was a kid I had one of the 1st versions of this game back in the 80's for my vic 20 computer then the version for the commodor 64 and i loved it then. the play station version is a great game too and has keep me up for hours playing it. if your looking for a modern style computer game this isnt for you but if you like the old style arcade games then this is a great buy and can give you many hours of entertainment.

So far, I'm the only person I know that has beaten all the levels. This was acheived only with the help of the infinite lives code, an aweful lot of frustration, and a little (more than I'd like to admit) controller throwing. That said, the dumb thing is addictive. I played compulsively until I beat it. It is a neat game, but it's so hard that I'm not really sure it's all that fun. I hear the 2 player game is better, but have no second controller...

            - Classified: EVERYONE. - The classic arcade game in 3D - Dozen of challenging new levels - 9 unique new worlds - Up to 4 players on multi-player split screen - 3-D graphics and cool music scores
From the player stand-point: All the advertisement items above (from the back of the jewel box) are truthful. This game deserves a strong 5-STAR rating. The players start out with simple crossing-the-street scenarios in which frogger (main character of the game) has to cross busy traffic streets, or rivers. The strategy is simple: jump to the space to avoid cars, or hitting by the bridge, or eaten by the snakes, etc... The prizes are to save baby frogs in a shortest time and put your initials in the hall of fame. After winning several levels, in one of those levels, the players have a chance to capture a golden frog, which eventually will uncover other new worlds for more challenging levels. Higher levels involve adventures in dark caves, avoiding being crushed by funky machinery. The game is quite addictive (as an ultimate goal of the maker). To win the game, good hand-eye coordination is a must. In addition, simple strategy to optimize your "leaping" certainly helps at high levels. In fact, at high levels, perhaps only some game-playing whizzes can stand a chance of success.
From other stand-points: Graphics is great. Strategy is well-implemented. This game is surely a real thing for other game programmers to ponder until their own arcade games will ever be produced.
In brief, this game deserves a soundly 5-STAR "RIBBIT" rating.

This new and improved Frogger from the Arcade era has new levels, new settings and a lot of fun. This game is a must have for all Playstation fans. It contains a versus mode which has different levels from the normal game play. Levels get better and thougher as the game progresses. It has everything from crazy lawnmowers to stampeding bulls to a little adventure at a toxic plant. A great game for all ages.

If I wasn't addicted to the original Frogger, I would say this game was actually pretty cool but I can't. I wanted to see the original for PS. This game is HARD. I hear the 2nd one is better but I haven't tried it yet. If you don't mind the new look and scene, go for it but if you are expecting the Atari version but updated, don't waste your money. There is only one board that is similar.

people said this game was hard - i dont agree. like the other kid said, if you want HARD GAMES, play the tomb raiders - it's taken me 2 yrs to beat the first 2 of those. frogger isn't hard, just plain fun.
