This game was the worst

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 0 / 1

The graphics are awful, gameplay is even worse, the storyline is so repetative. All you do is go deeper under ground and fight the same looking monsters only stronger, I wouldn't waste your money on this awful game

DIABLO II

Excellent graphics and game play but problems. You cannot save the game when you want to. Every time you die and reload, you have to start in town. Every time you reload the game, the monsters regenerate in the levels that have been completed. This makes the game very tedious. In Blizzard's efforts to make the game harder they have added unnecessary tasks that take the fun out of the game. They have done to Diablo what Quake did to Doom (not that Quake is a bad game) -make it overly complicated at the expense of fun. Also a few bugs - wait a few months before you buy.

This is a Great game. a must for any rpg player

Diablo is a fine game. There is no other game to compare with it .the gameplay is fast and you have to learn different strategies for each character .with the random creation of dugeon levels makes the game feel new each time you play it. you dont know what is at the end of each corridor. the magical items you can use to enhance the characters abilities attacks and defenses giving the character a chance to resist spell attacks fire and electrical or it cas be used to boost one of your stats. in multiplayer mode it is very fun to with the added bonus of playing with others and using the characters skills to full effect.Net games are just as fun but be prepaired for pks player killers who collect your ears not many games like this to compare it with ultima online is good but diablo has more action and more matched for new players can enter the lower part of the dungeon and the experienced can go in to the deepest depths of Diablos dungeon.

Diablo is a good game. I have no argument about that. Diablo has really good graphics, good gameplay, and the randomized dungeons haven't been met by any other game, (exept maybe Climax Landers for the dreamcast). The only thing that kept me from rating it 5 stars is the fact that is has to do with the devil. Other than that, (and I don't think Diablo would be the same without Diablo) I think it's a great game.

"Diablo" is something of a compromise between true RPGs and arcade games like "Gauntlet." Basically, it's all about going into a hole in the ground, killing what's there and looting the bodies. The quests and puzzles really aren't challenges, but rather let you know what sort of critters to kill and loot.

Having said that, the game is addictive, especially when playing with another person (who preferably is using one of the other classes of character available in the game). Roaming the dungeon under Tristram, hacking your way through hordes of demons and the undead, all for an even shinier and fancier new weapon or suit of armor -- or, most fun, more spells for your Sorcerer -- is a great way to kill an afternoon, and a sure cure for bad days at work.

The graphics in the Playstation version are a slight improvement over the disappointing computer graphics -- the camera is zoomed in significantly, letting you see what's going on in the dimly lit dungeon -- and the interface, while not as intuitive and relatively unobtrusive as the one in "Diablo II," works extremely well and the learning curve for most players will be very short.

Two player mode, while lots of fun, does have some limitations, mainly that both players are trapped on a single screen together, and a zealous partner can inadvertently trap the other character behind walls or barrels in the middle of a widespread melee.

The violence here is gory, and there's references to violence against the young prince of the land, but for the game is far less graphic and intense than most horror movies, and should be something that teenagers can handle quite easily.

The game also has appeal for adults who've tired of the thinking involved with "Warcraft" (or who have experience with paper-and-pencil RPGs) and just want to smite some demons.

And while "Diablo II" isn't yet available for any videogame console systems -- and will likely suffer when it does -- this bargain-priced original game will serve as a good primer on the game and its setting and sets the stage for the computer game sequel.

A solid game despite its age, and one well worth owning.

Diablo is pretty faithfully ported over to the Playstation, however the graphics aren't as clean as in the PC version of the game. But this game is still a worthy addition to your Playstation library simply for the fact that the dungeons, characters, items, weapons, etc. hold such a diverse amount that this game can keep you occupied for weeks and weeks. The two-player option is really cool, allowing you and a friend to tackle the dungeons together. Everytime you start a new game, the dungeons "randomize", so you won't find things in the same place as you did before. Sound is on par, however if you're used to the mouse in the PC version, the controls associated with the PSX will confuse you at first. A little practice is all that's needed to master it in no time. Overall, an excellent game, worthy of addition to anyone's library of Playstation games if they're into a good old-fashioned "dungeon romp".

Once in a while, an awsome games comes along and everyone is just stunned about how great it is. They might say how fun it is and how you should get this. I'm not telling you that you have to buy Diablo, but I reccomend it. It is definetly worth a try if you're a big action/RPG gamer and don't mind some gore. It has wonderfully beautiful graphics. Add some bone crunching sounds into it and it's a masterpiece. This will definetly be a game that you will not stop playing until you beat it. If you don't buy this game, you're getting left out. But then again, this is just my opinion.
