It's cheap and it's fun. It's not a rip-off. It just needs improvements. One main thing is that even if you save your casino, it doesn't always save. You cannot build a casino, then build another one, then go back to your 1st casino. It won't be there. So that's a big upset. As you progress to other casinos, it gets harder and harder to build with what they give you. They don't start you with enough money or games to make your patrons happy. I had to start over a few times because I was negative money. They require you to be at a higher level before you can get anything other that blackjack, craps, & slots in your casino. But having said all that... it still is fun. I will keep my eye out if they make a better one.

After reading many reviews here I decided to write one of my own. The game itself is fun but needs a little more work. I myself dont play games that are super involved, shooting people and blowing stuff up. This game and games like it are right up my alley.
First off I have to agree about the cafe's keno rooms and others being 2D. It would be nice if you could go inside, set some gaming machines in the lounge or betting room. Maybe make a menu for the dining area which could coinside with the biggy lights outside. I know a seafood buffet gets my attention on a Friday night! When a restaurant is built maybe room service could be added. That option should come sooner in the game in place of the ammusement ride.
The slot machines, I've played one slot machine over a buck in my entire life. There should be nickle dime quarter and fifty cent machines. Maybe throw in penny machines just for kicks. I have to agree there is little difference in machine design other then the fact the only way you can pick them out is by building multiples and having the spinner on top. Some blazing 7's or All American's would do nicely in this catagory and maybe the number of lines to play.
On the two larger jackpot machines, I think I'd like to pick the item that goes on top. I think I saw a ride on lawn mower in there at one point, maybe announce big winners?? Ok maybe thats a little too realistic. I think its great to watch the patrons playing, graphics on them were done in a realistic fashion. Sometimes I find it hard to find my staff even with the overlay on, but easy to pick out the patron levels, especially the VIP's.
The gaming tables are ok, once you get high rollers and VIP's in you can set the levels on them higher, and the money starts rolling in. Most seem to be popular. but would like to see carribean stud or let it ride in there. Another feature would have been to have the ability to just change the table type when you get an upgrade rather then have to blow it out and rebuild it. Being able to change the felt colors was a good addition.
As far as the attacks, it seems to make little difference when you try to pay them off. I've played it both ways and saw little or no change in my patron count or money decline. You do however have to hire more security to toss them out and extra machine opporators to fix them and on some casinos this is hard due to little wall space. IE: The rock and roll casino which I'm currently stuck in. There is little decor to choose from and only certain ways machines or pit tables fit. It takes forever to get to the first upgrade but once you get the pit patrons and money start coming in, but I have yet to draw enough patrons to go on to the next casino. I've read hints and cheats (which I have yet to get to work) the hints of dropping advertising down for two months does ok. Any other ideas?
My game saves work ok so far no problems there.
Overall this is a good game, it just needs tweaking a bit. I like the fact I can listen to my mp3's while playing, how many games can you do that with? It keeps me busy while I'm caring for my mother and housebound for the most part. I can play for hours in both modes.
Fun with no hassle

This game provides hours of good fun entertainment and increasing challanges as you go from one casino to the next. It is a game that does not require hours of studying the manual to play. It's only downfall is that the player can't manipulate the services (Restaurants, bingo parlors, Wedding chapels and etc.) that the player creates for the casino.
Good but needed some updates and more content

This game kept me entertained for a while and I even loaded on my laptop because I missed it. Unfortuantely my laptop blew up! Yes it was 1 1/2 year old Alienware laptop.
The graphics werent bad and the premise of this game was good. I happen to like this game better than Vegas Tycoon. While VT had better graphics, to me you had slightly a little more to do in Casino Empire.
You were given tasks to complete involoving none other than, a casino. Various locations and some of the casinos (some mostly empty) looked very nice. The graphics could of been a little more detailed, and the pit bosses needed more realism as well as the slots. Security cameras with a security room could add to the realism where you can actually catch cheaters, robbers, and so fourth looking on the secruity screens from the cameras you placed throughout. It would of been nice also to add a hotel and actually design it, make the rooms, and design and include the resturants (little bit of resturant empire and Maximum Occupancy-Hotel Tycoon) mixed in by making a resort complete with a pool, parking lot, and designing comp cards. A window would take you to a screen tha shows when the person is coming to the hotel, when he/she is leaving and later on how much comp did he/she earn. If he/she brings their family, you need things to do for the children or else they wont have a pleasant stay and in turn will not spend much time in the casino. The resturants and keno were awful. I hate pasting resturants on walls, its so unreal. It wuld of been nice to build a buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner style resturant and actually design it and go in.
I would of also liked to see progressive jackpots, the huge signs, and perhaps opening and closing so the technicians can service the slots, fill them, and clean up as well. Adding a bar would be a plus. Many casinos have bars that you can sit at. The cashiers and waitresses would add to the realism.
For the "sim" gamer

I love this type of game, but if someone isnt into long and in depth games than this isnt for them. i love being able to design the interior of my casino how i want yet also the challenge of having goals to meet. also there are little "twists" as you play like casinos attacking you and shady characters wanting to do business with you. but overall this is a great game for me.
fun game

I purchased this game about two years ago and I love it. I was pretty addicted to it and then stopped for a while and started up again and have two more casinos to unlock.
This game is cool. It probably wouldn't be impressive to frequent gamers with respect to graphics and such. However, to someone like myself who doesn't play a lot of video games, it is simple to play and fun building up the casinos. Also when you put in wedding chapels and other amenities, you can see a different array of characters moving about your casino. I think its interesting and fun to watch.
The game is listed here for a really low price. I think it's worth it for the entertainment.
So cool

This game is pretty cool at first. There is a lot of graphic detail in regards to the casino and the games. You are given a lot of control over the table game prices, locations, payouts, etc. The only problem is there are only 8 casinos you get to play, with specific goals to accomplish. Or you can play freestyle. The casino interior cannot be changed, and so you run out of space for placing things like buffets, restrooms, etc. Its not a very challenging game at all, I finished it in a day. It is really funny though, when you click on your patrons they usually have something unique and comical to say.
If you like casino games this one would be a good one to play.
