Too Sleezy

I thought we were trying to teach our kids to stay away from Raves. Who would promote a game for teens that encourages a setting for the perfect rave party? Not to mention the sleezy dance cage. I'm embarressed that any moral family would consider this good entertainment for anyone in their family.

An okay expansion for a great game

Frankly I was a little disappointed in this expansion; certainly it doesn't compare to "Livin' Large" in terms of fun potential, but it has some neat new stuff.

The party option in my case almost always seems to bring the cops AND the mime, and does little to improve relationships.

Some of the new goodies are fun, but some areas seem woefully neglected. We have a zillion variations of the 'tropical island wallpaper' theme but still only 2 sinks and one counter for the bathroom? You guys, consult with an architect or interior designer! More beds! More 'love' beds! More architectural styles!

Make the computers do more! Let the SIMs email, meet people online... buy stuff!

And most importantly, more pets. The guinea pig is too dangerous. Make birds, make some ambulatory pets, like cats and dogs that function sort of like real SIM characters!

The SIMs still has a TON of untapped potential!

HOW?????!!!!!!!!?????????

this expansion was ok but I still can't figure out how to make a good party-the mime shows up at every one (I've had it since October, that's 5 months). I've tryed all that I can think of. I' don't want to buy a book telling me how.I don't suggest buying unless you are really good at figuring out or want to buy the book.

lots of cool features but not thatgreat

House party adds new stuff, objects, walls/floors, stairs, skins, ya know, stuff. It also adds to the time it takes to load, and just play the game, it got really visibly slower. If you've downloaded lots of objects, like a hundred you might have it be even slower.
Mine stopped working so I reloaded it, installed it really, and lost all my downloaded objects, but it went a little faster.

Parties aren't all they cracked up to be. I've had mimes come to dj hosted dance and bubble fiestas and Drew Carey came to a pool party I had. Plus, all those people really slow the game down.

Oh well, keep your fingers crossed for Hot Date to be in stores maybe even the same month it's suppesed to come out.

So so.

This second expansion pack for the Sims for Mac was just alright in my opinion. Sure, lots of fun toys to play with (the mechanical bull makes quick work of upping your sim's body points), and the caterer and ability to buy food (albeit expensively) right from the inventory of items rather than forcing them to make it are nice additions. However, this expansion pack did something to the way my sims operate that make it even more difficult to get them to do everyday things on their own. They forget to eat, use the bathroom, go to work, etc. when left to their own devices. Perhaps this will be remedied in the next expansion pack. How realistic is it for someone to take half an hour to get out of bed? Or 10 minutes just walking to the car? Not very and considering the commute to work is an hour, time runs out quickly. Using the bathroom alone takes far longer than it should and wastes valuable time needed for fun, socialization, and other needs.

Long time coming...

It seems as though House Party has been out on the PC and that Aspyr has taken it's sweet time with it. But finally the day has come when all us mac users can enjoy the Punch Bowl, DJ Turntable and of course: the Costume Trunk. Of course it doesn't reinvent the game, it's just an expansion set. But it does add a lot of sweet new items and NPC (non-player characters, for the uninitiated.) The question is: Is HP carbonized to circumvent that pesky 31-letter limit that plagues all customization freaks (namely me) on all pre-OS X systems. Is it still good? Yeah. Is it groundbreaking, nope sorry. Still a good buy though.

Sims gone wild!!!

The sims is a great game but with x-packs(Like house party) it's better.House party has many new features for example the regular things like wall paper, floor tiles ,and new fences. But they have some uncommen things such as a recycled pay phone(garenteed to be disease and germ free)There is also light up dance floors and a hula girl lamp that really hulas! You can also call your niehbours(If you have niehbours) and have a house party(duh!) You can style your house to be a hawien louaw or even a texan roadio complete with a mechical bull! There is all so a visiting mime(much like the sad clown in livin' large)and special celeberty guest Drew Carry. Oh yeah I almost forgot, speaking of Livin' Large you should istall it before House party and House Party before Hot Date. Because alone they are good but together they are better. I like house party because it lets you go out ,get down ,and be crazy with the Sims!
Ihope my review was helpful and now that you are done reading it go on and buy house party for mac.

This game is so much fun!!! I love making my sims throw parties. The problem is, their energy and comfort bars go down so far. And it's hard to make everyone leave without my sims being half asleep. The good thing is, you get to hire a caterer so your sims don't have to cook. I once had a Mime and a Party Crasher come to my house. My mom once had a secret celebrity (which was Drew Carry) come to her party. Once, a police woman came and said that she heard complaints from the neighbors about the party and to end it as soon as possible so people can get some sleep. It was really funny. There are new objects and jobs that are awesome! There are even new faces and clothes to choose from. The Sims: House Party Expansion Pack is the bomb, and everyone sim-fan should own it!!!

Someone sent us a defective game!
