For old kids too!

This is a cute fun game for young kids to us very old kids! My wife and I love this game, it is good clean family fun. Great game for two people, we take turns, one driving with the controler and one useing the light gun and shooting at the bad guys. It is different in that both of you are working together doing different things and on the same screen (not a split screen). It is a simple easy game to play (you don't have to remember what every button on the controler is for). If you like light gun shooter games, you will like this one.

One player drives with the traditional controller and the other shoots with a Guncon 2. It's lots of fun to work as a team and the driver and shooter both need different skills, so when you switch up it's like a different game. I haven't played the two player game without the lightgun, but if you have one then the game is definitely worth the twenty bucks. The game is much easier as a one player game because aiming the shot is pretty easy compared to the lightgun.

I dont like this game very much for a couple of reasons. First, you start out with only one car. Second, you must complete a mission first before you can do anything else. Third, it got pretty boring after 30 minutes or so playing it. I recomend you rent this game first before you buy it even though it costs 20 bucks.

I GOT THE GAME FROM (kohls)!!!! I should have known a CLOTHING STORE only has crap video games. It is soooooooooooooooooo boring and lame. do NOT get this game.i repeat DOOOOOOO NOTTTTTTTTT GETTTTTTTTT THIISSSSSS GAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought that this would be a cool game.... So i rented it... i started to play it and it was kind of cool. BUT! after a while i could see that the graphics are horrable... (like ps1) and after the first missin,its like youre just do the same thing over again because the missions are all almot the same.... you just shooting a car trying to stop it... and u can't even see it ur hitting the car because the graphics are soooo bad. Also after a while the saying that they have get really annoying. And the movie sequences suck.... they are just cartoon slides and u can't really can't tell what is going on. So i wouldn't recommend this game, but u can rent it if u want, but u wont be very happy. (i played it for 1 out of the 5 days that i rented it for).

i don't really have this game and i just want to ask any one thats reading this that has this game and are going to review it. um can you get out of the car? or do you just ride around in the car the whole game? cause im a hard core gamer but i have read the reviews and every one says it is fairly easy.this game would be perfect for me if you could get out of the car.

I haven't tried it with the light gun yet, but even with 2 dual-shocks this is a unique and accessible 2-player co-op game (one drives, one shoots) with decent replay value. I don't think the difficulty can be increased, but it's fun to go back and beat your old scores and play with the unlocked cars. i suppose it could be finished in a rental, but personally I find it's nice to own some simple co-op games like this that you can pop in and play right away if a friend shows up, esp. if that friend is not a hardcore gamer. as a 1-Player game it starts to feel like GTA-lite after awhile, although for kids this one is better because it lacks the mature content.

We just got a PS2 after having no game system at all since the old Atari I had when I was 13. So learning all the "new fangled" controls is a bit tricky. Starsky and Hutch, as well as being a fun game, is straight-forward enough that the learning curve was easy and enabled me to get right into the action without having to die a thousand times just to learn how to maneouvre. As I get better with the controller, the game is still proving to be fun and challenging without being frustrating.

Shoot 'em up and wreck 'em.

I bought this game for my kids. I remembered Starsky and Hutch from television when I was a kid. This follows them in their Ford Gran Torino through 3 seasons. (Other cars become available.) Each mission is basically about destroying the bad guys car, not shooting or smashing the good guys car, and collecting badges and tokens to move to the next season.

Game play is smooth, graphics are cartoon-like. My kids enjoy the challenge of beating the game, but they tire of collecting badges and tokens although with a few runs they can figure out where they are and compete.

Once they beat the game I am not sure they will want to keep playing, but it has held its value for a month now. When they have friends over that is one of the first discs they pull out just for the sheer fun of driving and shooting. It can be a challenge to win.
