Rampage returns, better than ever. AND IT'S ONLY 20 BUCKS!

That's right, folks! This great game is only 20 bucks, which is amazing because it's a very good game. It has loads of personality, 30 giant monsters, and seven big cities to destroy. It's also the first Rampage in 3D. True, it's not a full scale environment, just a block at a time. But it's a very nice addition to the Rampage gameplay.

Since the game is only 20 dollars, you might think it's a throwaway. But actually, it's got surprising depth and flexibility. Each of the monsters handles much the same, except for slight variations that make them interesting. For instance, Leon the lion can really jump when he punches upward, so helicopters are easy prey. And Sheldon the turtle is slooow, but strong. Rojo the bull actually gets sick when he eats steak instead of getting back health.

The cities are varied in style and difficulty. Las Vegas is a cakewalk, but New York is tough to take down, what with tanks, bombers, and soldiers all over the place. Plus some huge buildings that can give even a monster a difficult time to smash. Gameplay has several modes. Campaign, King of the City, King of the World, and Timed.

An interesting aspect is the unlocking of power moves, monsters, and cities as you go. It gives the game a little more replayabililty, since you've got other things to think about than just smashing. An excellent game for the monster enthusiast and a great addition to the Rampage line.

Also, the game contains the original Rampage and Rampage: World Tour. So you're getting a lot for your money.

My only complaint: when you die and it's game over, it just stops. The game doesn't have you fall over or anything. It just flashes GAME OVER. Kind of anticlimactic, but hey, if that's the worst thing I can say, then I think we have a winner!

Pretty fun!

This is a fun mindless beat em' up game. You control giant monsters and destroy buildings, eat people, and smash vehicles. I'm glad Midway decided to remake this game with modern graphics. The graphics is nice and clean, the monsters moves and attacks with good animation effect. The sound effect is solid. Each monster(30 total) has a special attack too, mainly a 'roar' attack. You can climb the buildings from the front side, not just from the sides like old Rampage games.

One complaint I have is that some of the effects are too serious and not goofy and zany enough like old Rampage games. The humans that you eat lack that 'freaked out' face effect, when you die and shrink back to human form the 'embarrassed' face effect is lacking, etc....

The levels are pretty cool. As you progress to the next block/street of that level the building variety/difference is good enough to keep things fresh. This game is more fun with multi-players but single player is fun too. The original Rampage and Rampage World Tour game are included.

BTW if you use AV cable I recommend changing it to S-Video cable. It will make graphics MUCH sharper and better.

Overall a fun game and its twenty bucks.

Classic reinvented

Hmmm. A port from the 1980's. Avoid it like the plague, right? I thought so until I saw it demo'd at a video rental store.

The graphics are incredible! As buildings crumble, pillars become a bit misaligned, windows pop out of their frames, and debris crumbles in all directions. This is old school graphics. The animation stays crisp and cartoonishly awesome even in a blurry bitmapped polygon world.

Smashing buildings. Kicking tanks. Flinging helicopters from the sky. Eating policemen. Expect kids 6 to 12 to go Lord of the Flies for days.

Gameplay is simple if not a bit monotonous. Two player mode is available. There is a bit of frustration with the y and z dimensions. To kick a tank, for example, you have to be aligned just right on the street. This can be forgiven as a challenge of the game.

Overall, a massive improvement over the original. Definitely include it in your collection if you a fan of the 80's.

I got this game Friday, and I couldn't stop playing it since! If you love giant monsters, I highly reccomend this game. This is the 5th rampage game that has come out. The good thing about this game is that you can climb famous buildings like the Empire State Building and Big Ben in New York and London. There are some other famous cities like L.A., Las Vegas, Chicago, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. If you buy this game you will probably enjoy it.

If you like the classic Rampage games then you'll love this one. They took Rampage to a higher level. It has some 3D look to it. Still not allowing you to Free Roam through a city like War of the Monsters does though, but it plays like the classics. Which is exactly what it was made to do. There are also 30 different monsters in the game. This is a great game to play and let out your rage. Why destroy something small in your house when you can put in Rampage and take out a whole city? I am a fan of the old Rampage games so I myself really enjoy this game.

I could not stop playing this game. It was better than Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter if you ask me, and i definetely reccomend it. this time, you start off with 6 monsters and must destroy your way to unlock all 30 of them. a soda company, scum, was testing their soda when people began to mutate and turn into monsters. all thirty of those people were mutated and kept in big tube things, but you must help to free them. there are cities to destroy including Las Vegas, San Fancisco, London, Los Angeles, and a few others i cant remember. This game is really fun and i cant stop playing it. well i g2g so i can go play it.

My two boys (six and four)love this game. The graphics are great, and it's a lot of fun to be able to switch monsters and cities. It can get a bit monotonous after a while, though, and I'm not sure that kids much older would be too enthralled with it, since you're basically just knocking down building after building, over and over, although you can also do some other things, like destroy tanks, eat people, and knock down helicopters and planes. A fun diversion, but sort of simplistic.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is so cool. You can eat people climb 500ft {or so it looks} buildings and throw cars! Go to L.A. Hong Kong, San Francisco, and more! If ur a person who is really good at beating all those other games, this one is really hard! It's really hard to find monsters and get all the upgrade for all 30 monsters.
So if u like totall destruction, eating people, and giant monseters this game is for you.
